We’re looking for a CTO who’s startup gritty someone who’ll be in the weeds when needed, make fast smart calls, and build an engineering function that ships great product consistently ⚡️ This is not a steer from the balcony role. It’s for a builder leader who can go from strategy to sleeves rolled up execution ️ in the same day. What you’ll own Tech direction Set a clear technology roadmap that supports product growth and commercial outcomes Make sharp build vs buy calls and keep the stack simple, scalable, and sensible Make the tough decisions on tech direction that drive success, efficiency, and long-term leverage Create leverage so there are fewer fires, more shipping, better momentum Team and leadership Lead and grow the engineering org, including hiring and developing strong leaders Set expectations around ownership, pace, and quality Build a culture where people take responsibility and deliver ⚡ Shipping and scaling Keep delivery moving fast as customers and complexity increase Improve developer experience, tooling, and workflow so the team can move quicker Lift consistency across how software is built and released, without adding bureaucracy Exec partnership Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs Communicate clearly and confidently at all levels Help shape the long-term tech org and operating model as the company grows ✅ What we’re looking for Serious startup CTO pedigree ideally from a tech start-up or scale-up where you’ve been close to the build Proven CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering experience in a product-led business Strong judgement across architecture, people leadership, and execution Track record scaling teams and platforms through a growth curve Gritty and hands-on when it matters ️ you can dive in, unblock, and drive outcomes Articulate communicator at all levels ️ engineers, execs, stakeholders, the lot Commercially aware, calm, decisive, high standards, low ego $300k Super Stock Options Send your CV or LinkedIn profile, plus a short note on the most meaningful scaling challenge you’ve led ⚡️
